The
Freecupcakewraps.com official Cupcakes for Christmas toy drive was this past
Saturday and it was nothing short of amazing! Despite the rain and heavy
traffic, toy donors gave big! We collected approx. 500 toys to be donated to
the Charles County Children’s Aid Society for their Christmas Connection
Program.
Student volunteers from North
Point high school and Girl Scout Troop #2861 helped the toy drive run
smoothly. Miss Teen Charles County (Ric'Quel) worked to set up stations and distribute
cupcakes while several other volunteers willingly helped where ever they
were needed.

Throughout the event,
"Wendy" was seen greeting customers, interacting with participants and
checking out the cupcakes.
There was even a guest appearance by “Batter”
the freecupcakewraps.com baking bear. Participants were eager to take
pictures and sign Batter's apron.
Children enjoyed face painting, goodie bags, prizes
and designing their own cupcake wrappers.
At the end of the event, we
happily donated the remaining cupcakes to the Robert J. Fuller Transitional House (Homeless Shelter for Men) in Waldorf, MD. and
Catholic Charities Women’s Shelter in Hughesville, MD.
All in all,
Cupcakes for Christmas was truly a success. Our first charitable event was
fun for the community and will greatly contribute to putting smiles on
the faces of less-fortunate families in St. Charles MD.
Special Thanks to our supporters:
